Well I just finished cleaning up a bunch of SPAM from our forums.. We were attacked with a flood of porn, prescription, and other site advertisements.
There were about 50 users that signed up to the site in one day. This was probably done using an automated spamming computer that created the accounts then posted the nasty adverts. Anyways, I'm glad I caught it early before people were exposed to that filth. However, if you did see the nasty spam, I apologize.
Because of this, I beefed up the security to register to the site.. New users now have to verify their emails before being allowed to post. If this does not work, I'll find another way of preventing the inappropriate spam from being posted.
